Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

I believe that stepping into a new environment and learning through firsthand experience is what helps me grow the most. Throughout my university life, every time I have taken on a new challenge, I have gained valuable insights and learned something new. These experiences have gradually broadened my perspective and shaped the way I think. For this reason, I value not only learning knowledge in the classroom but also living in a new environment and learning through interacting with a wide range of people.

As I studied the Japanese language, I had many opportunities to learn about Japan’s culture, society, and way of life. The more I learned, the stronger my interest in Japan and my appreciation for its people became. At the same time, I found myself increasingly wanting to experience life in Japan firsthand. I also came to realize that many things such as the way people use language, communicate with others, and approach different situations, can only be fully understood by actually living in Japan and interacting with Japanese people. That is why I believe studying abroad in Japan is a valuable opportunity to gain experiences that cannot be obtained in a classroom and to continue growing as a person.

During my time in Japan, I hope to take classes alongside Japanese students and actively participate in discussions and group projects. I believe there is much to learn by observing how people organize their thoughts, express their opinions, and work together to solve problems. By studying with Japanese students, I hope to learn how discussions are conducted in class, how different perspectives are respected, and how ideas are developed through open exchange. Through these experiences, I also hope to further refine my own way of thinking.

For me, this year abroad is not simply an opportunity to improve my Japanese language skills. It is a year dedicated to my personal growth. I hope to apply the experiences and perspectives I gain in Japan to my university activities and future career, becoming someone who can think independently while working with people from diverse backgrounds to create new value. Even after returning home, I do not want to keep what I have learned to myself. Instead, I hope to share my experiences with those around me in my own way, continue taking on new challenges, and keep growing throughout my life.
