I chose to study in Japan in order to experience diverse educational environments and become a teacher with an international perspective. Although Japan shares a cultural background similar to Korea, I believed that living in Japan, where educational methods and school culture differ, would greatly help broaden my views on education. In addition, through studying and interacting locally, I hope to improve my language skills, gain communication experience with various people, and develop the ability to understand cultural differences. Furthermore, I would like to cultivate the ability to solve problems independently and adapt to new environments through living abroad.
During my study at Hyogo University of Teacher Education, I aim to directly experience Japanese educational methods and classroom culture, and deepen my cultural understanding while interacting with students from diverse backgrounds, thereby developing global competence. Based on these experiences, my goal is to practice education that fosters in students an open perspective and respect for cultural diversity when I become an elementary school teacher in the future.
