When I was in junior high school, I happened to hear a Japanese song. I was deeply moved by the emotions conveyed through the lyrics, and since then, I became interested in the Japanese language. In high school, I participated in a Japanese language club for about a year. I also took Japanese classes for about a year and a half, which further deepened my interest in the language. Currently, I am majoring in Japanese at university and studying it every day. I also often watch Japanese dramas and anime, and I have a strong admiration for the various tourist spots and architectural landmarks across Japan.
There are three main reasons why I want to study in Japan. First, my university has a well-established exchange program with Japan, and there are many opportunities to apply. This has encouraged me to actively take on the challenge. Second, I want to further improve my Japanese speaking and expressive skills. I believe that living in an environment where I can use Japanese in real life will help me gain more natural communication abilities. Lastly, I have a strong desire to experience Japanese culture firsthand. By seeing and participating in things like anime, traditional events, and daily life in Japan, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the country.
By living in Japan, I believe I can significantly improve my Japanese skills, as I will be in an environment where I use the language every day. Moreover, by being exposed directly to Japanese culture and ways of thinking, I hope to broaden my perspective and deepen my worldview. I believe that encountering different values will become a valuable experience that contributes to my personal growth. Another important goal of studying abroad is to develop independent living skills. Through living alone in Japan, away from my family, I will need to manage everything from cooking and laundry to cleaning, which I believe will help me become more responsible and self-reliant. Finally, I believe that this study abroad experience will greatly benefit my future job-hunting activities. Not only language skills, but also cross-cultural understanding, adaptability, communication ability, and a spirit of challenge are all qualities that I think will be highly valued. Gaining these essential skills for entering society is one of the most important purposes of studying abroad for me.
