Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

When I was a junior high school student, the colorful Japanese anime attracted me deeply, and it was not only pleasure of my childhood but also planted seeds for Japanese culture. After I entered high school, I began to study Japanese, and I heard my teacher speaking life in Japan, and I was full of longing for Japan. So when I entered the University, I chose the Japanese language course, and I noticed the depth of deep culture behind the language in the process of studying Japanese. I watched Japanese documentary and tried to make Japanese food and tried to understand Japan more deeply. That's why I wanted to feel the culture of this culture and feel the delicate feeling that I could not touch in the book. And, it enhances the level of my expertise through life in Japan. The immersive Japanese language learning environment has created a stage that enhances language ability in both classes and in life. You can learn more natural pronunciation, increase your conversation level, express yourself more freely, expand your horizons, and train your independence. Through this opportunity of studying abroad, I can understand Japanese culture and customs deeply. Under the background of globalization, Japanese social culture and development models can be directly felt. The future will also build a foundation to participate in Japan China trade.

Experience while studying abroad

Autumn has arrived, marking the halfway point of my year studying abroad. Six months have already passed. At first, I lacked confidence in the language and felt unsure about everything, but with the help of my fellow international student friends, I have been enjoying truly fulfilling days.
At Hyogo University of Teacher Education, I have been learning specialized knowledge in education and have keenly felt the differences between Japanese and Chinese educational philosophies. This experience has further strengthened my resolve to become a teacher. Just as the university's motto, "Future Education Begins Here," suggests, I truly believe that the future of education begins here, begins with us, and begins in this very moment.
Furthermore, I have traveled to various places across Japan—from the seas of Kobe to the Gion Festival in Kyoto, from the deer of Nara to the matcha of Uji, from Osaka's Expo Park to Tokyo's skyscrapers—experiencing the culture and scenery firsthand. I feel that the real Japan lies precisely within these cityscapes and in the interactions between people. It's important to perceive each one with your heart.
Interacting with my fellow international students involves a clash of different cultures every single time. By sensing and accepting each other's different national customs, I have gradually learned to view the world from a more open and inclusive perspective.
For the remaining six months of my study abroad life, I will diligently focus on my education courses, deeply integrating the theme of education into my own life, while also striving to pass the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test N1.

Results of study abroad, future goals

Time truly feels as though it passes in the blink of an eye. In April of last year, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and everything seemed vibrant and alive. Now, another spring is about to arrive. Compared with last spring—and with who I was back then—this past year has brought about profound changes in me.
When I first arrived in Japan, I struggled to keep up with the speed of classes and the expressions used, and I strongly felt my own lack of ability. However, through daily effort and steady accumulation, moments of understanding gradually increased. Japanese transformed from being merely a “subject to study” into a language through which I could think, feel, and express myself. In addition, through class observations and other experiences, I learned that Japanese education values not only the acquisition of knowledge but also each individual’s opinions and self-expression. This attitude was a significant realization for me and became an opportunity to reflect deeply on the true essence of education.
Furthermore, the friends I met from all around the world during this year have become irreplaceable to me. Spending everyday life together—talking and laughing—with friends from Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, European countries, Mongolia, and many other regions went far beyond simple exchange. As I encountered different cultures, values, and perspectives on life, I sometimes felt as though I were living in those countries myself. Through these experiences, I gained the ability to see the world from perspectives entirely different from my own before.
This year was not merely a study abroad experience; it was a time in which I truly came to understand the meaning of “accepting differences,” “expressing oneself in one’s own words,” and “continuing to make efforts.” In the future, I aspire to become a teacher. I hope to cherish the knowledge, insights, and encounters I have gained here, and to continue striving to become someone who can support the growth of others.
