Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

When I was in high school, I was impressed by my teacher's teaching methods, which sparked my love for the Japanese language and culture. She not only taught me Japanese but also shared pictures of her experiences in Tokyo. As a result, I developed a deep interest in learning Japanese, leading me to choose Japanese Studies after graduating from high school.
Actually, I have been studying Japanese for four years in Vietnam, and I finally achieved N2 proficiency through textbooks and structured learning. However, I have had very few opportunities to practice speaking and immerse myself in real-life situations due to my learning environment. This has motivated my desire to study abroad in Japan while attending university.
I have three main goals that I hope to achieve while studying overseas. Firstly, I want to gain practical language skills by immersing myself in a Japanese-speaking environment. Communicating with native speakers will help me speak Japanese more fluently and naturally, and I aim to improve my listening abilities by talking to people in this language in daily conversations.
Secondly, my dream is to become a skilled Japanese teacher. For this reason, I plan to participate in Japanese teaching courses at Kobe Shoin Women’s University.
Lastly, I have a strong desire to explore Japan's traditional culture, such as wearing Kimono and experiencing tea ceremonies. By delving into these aspects of Japanese culture, I hope to gain invaluable experiences and broaden my perspectives through exposure to an entirely different way of living and a diverse cultural landscape. I strongly believe that these activities will become a priceless experience in my life and contribute to my personal growth as I become an adult.
In summary, my passion for Japanese language and culture, my aspirations to become a proficient teacher, and my eagerness to explore the richness of Japan's traditions motivated me to decide to study abroad. I am dedicated to making the most of this opportunity and believe that these experiences will shape my life and contribute to my growth as an individual

Experience while studying abroad

Since coming to Japan, it has been 5 months now. Life in Japan as an international student feels like a dream. Despite my initial worries when I first went abroad, I have gradually become accustomed to independent living and made new friends, so every day passes by joyfully.
Furthermore, thanks to the HUMAP scholarship, I have not had to worry about finances and have had the opportunity to freely experience Japan. I sincerely appreciate that.
Thanks to the opportunity to study abroad in Japan, I have had the chance to experience new things. The climate is different from Vietnam. For the first time in my life, I experienced sub-zero temperatures and saw snow.
So far, besides Kobe, I have had the opportunity to travel to Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Gifu. In particular, I enjoyed the feeling of eating noodles while watching the snowfall in Shirakawa. I really love this feeling from the bottom of my heart. Additionally, I really enjoyed Kyoto, with its quaint narrow streets. Therefore, before coming to this nation, I wanted to visit this place, and finally, I was able to both wear a kimono and stroll down the Gion district in Kyoto.
Although I had been studying Japanese since high school, upon arriving here, I realized that I needed to make a greater effort with my Japanese language proficiency. Alongside studying intensively to obtain the N1 certification, I believe I will have the opportunity to experience even more diverse cultures in Japan.
