When it comes to Japan, its charm lies in the way that tradition and innovation have coexisted peacefully to create a modern environment with a rich historical background. Japan is known for its thorough attention to detail, which is a reflection of its commitment to workmanship and accuracy. As an exchange student in Japan, I am eager to explore further into the rich festivals and traditional arts of the country.

Experience while studying abroad

I made it a point to learn as much as I could, both personally and academically, throughout my year in Japan. On so many levels, this experience has been immensely enlightening.

For me, beginning a research project was a whole new experience. It seemed like I was beginning over. Fortunately, my professors and colleagues in the lab were far more helpful than I could have imagined. This place of employment has a very different work culture than my university. In terms of academic work as well as daily life, my immediate senior was a lifesaver, helping me at every turn and offering insightful guidance. This experience has greatly improved my standards and work ethic. In addition, I've learned that it's acceptable to admit what I don't know.

Bangladesh is very different from Japan in numerous aspects. It took some time to get used to the lifestyle here, but the process of learning was intriguing. Initially, the cold weather was quite unexpected for someone from a tropical nation. But then spring came and I saw the cherry blossoms I had always imagined seeing. It was a genuinely magical experience to watch the cherry blossom.

I also did some traveling throughout Japan, stopping in cities like Tottori, Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Nara, and Fukuoka. Every city had something fresh to offer and its own distinct charm. My trip here was made truly unforgettable by the food, the people I met along the journey, the culture, and the manner of life.

My year in Japan has, in summary, been an incredible voyage of learning and development. I will never forget the experiences I've had or the lessons I've learned.

Results of study abroad, future goals

The year I spent in Japan had a significant influence on my academic and personal development. Personally, I developed greater independence and learned to rely on myself. My perspective has been widened and my appreciation for cultural variety has been strengthened by learning about and honoring Japan's distinctive customs and social mores.

The experience has changed me academically. I acquired expertise on how to carry out research, work hard, and present my findings effectively. This journey culminated in the publication of a paper, which is a testament to the hard work and support I received. Moreover, I forged valuable connections with peers and mentors, which will benefit my future endeavors.

My main objective going forward is to graduate by successfully defending and submitting my thesis. I intend to write a paper detailing the research methods and discoveries I made for my study project while participating in an exchange program in Japan. I'm determined to use these research techniques to improve the quality and scope of my current academic pursuits.

Additionally, I want to promote collaboration between the University of Hyogo and the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). I want to build a connection between these institutions and encourage innovation and information sharing through collaborative research projects.

In the long term, I plan to pursue advanced studies and professional development opportunities that align with my research interests.
