Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

My dream is to become a Japanese teacher who connects language and culture. In order to become a Japanese language teacher, you must have both professional Japanese language skills and the ability to learn about Japanese culture and make it your own and teach it to your students. In order to do that, you have to experience the country and its language and environment. That's why I wanted to study abroad in Japan, where I could directly experience the language and culture. As a student currently enrolled in the Department of Japanese Language Education with the dream of becoming a Japanese language teacher, I would like to conduct research directly in the country in which I majored. I would like to gradually improve my Japanese skills, which are still lacking, by using them directly in Japan as a daily language. Also, through the exchange program, I would like to acquire N1 of the JLPT exam, experience various Japanese cultures and festivals, and acquire the knowledge necessary for the teacher recruitment exam later. And I think this kind of experience is a very important process for me to become a teacher.

Experience while studying abroad

I think the experience of being an exchange student for a year is really valuable. I think it has grown and developed through various activities and experiences.
First of all, I wanted to experience Himeji's culture, so I visited Himeji Castle, which has a long history, and read various things and experienced them firsthand. Not only that, but I also participated in two festivals held at Himeji Castle and ate Himeji Castle and delicious Japanese food.
Second, I worked part-time in the translation of noh scripts. I wanted to come to Japan and work part-time, but Himeji Dokkyo University gave me a job in translation, so I decided to do it. While translating into Korean, I learned more about Noh, one of Japan's traditional cultures, and learned how to use the script. Through this process, my Japanese reading and translation skills improved.
Third, I participated in Himeji Dokkyo University's international exchange program. Through the experience of making traditional Korean pancakes, I was able to inform Japanese students about Korean pancakes. In this process, I was able to have a good time talking about Korea through communication with my Japanese friends.
In addition to this, I was able to learn more about Japan by experiencing various local cultures and foods such as Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nagoya other than Himeji.
If I hadn't received a HUMAP scholarship, I would have had difficulty gaining these various experiences. Therefore, I think the HUMAP scholarship helped me experience various experiences and cultures.
As an exchange student for a year, I gained various experiences and experiences and was able to further develop my dream of becoming a Japanese language teacher.

Results of study abroad, future goals

While studying abroad at Himeji Dokkyo University, I began to study a lot. While listening to various classes, my Japanese reading and Qinghai skills improved. So I worked part-time as a translator at Himeji Dokkyo University. It was my first script translation, but in the process of doing it, I was able to develop my Japanese skills even more, which made me feel proud. Of course, there were difficulties with the words and culture of the times, but as I studied new things, I gained knowledge.

In addition, I became close to my friends majoring in Korean language courses and had a lot of time to exchange about each other's culture and language. They explained the sentences my friends wanted to know in Japanese, and in the process I gained a lot of conversational skills. Also, I actively participated in the presentation made in the class. In the process of preparing and practicing for the presentation, my Japanese improved a lot, and my presentation skills gradually increased, so I became not afraid of the presentation.

Through this process, I gained a lot of confidence in the Japanese language and my fear of communicating with Japanese people disappeared. Also, through various learning experiences, my dream of becoming a teacher has become more passionate.
If you go back to Korea, you will be in the fourth grade for practical training. At this time, I will tell the students about my exchange student experience and learning achievements, communicate with them, and teach them more specifically about Japanese culture.
Also, I want to learn more about Japanese culture and language by studying hard while not forgetting this experience and then becoming a Japanese language teacher.
