I liked Japanese animation. Since then, I also have a desire to speak Japanese. I did not expect to study Japanese in Japan. So I kept that dream but I never changed my desire about Japan. And I heard stories about my cousin who can study in Japan through scholarship.
Since then, my father was always talking about what is related to Japan. Until one day my father wanted me to go to Japan like my cousin. Do not be like ourselves, you must also succeed, my father said. Why can they do it? I wonder if we can not do it?, my father said. Since then I promise to study more so that my parents will be proud of having me. Finally I passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. I am pleased to finally be able to realize the dreams of my parents. I wanted to know more about Japanese culture such as bunraku, kabuki, ikebana etc. while studying in Japan. I would like to be able to pass the Japanese proficiency test in Japan.
As long as I am an international student in Japan, I have a lot of experience from campus activities and I learned from my activities. For example, I learned how to make Japanese paper and the history and culture of Japanese shrines and temples. Also, I submitted for the first time at a speech contest. Honestly I am not good at giving a speech in front of a lot of people, and that time I was very nervous. It was my first time, so I did not expect the winner, but I was happy that I got the second place. From that time on, my confidence to use Japanese becomes stronger. I also participated in field work on education. On this oppurtunity I could introduced my country "Indonesia" to Japanese children and young people, exchange ideas with many more people, and for me this thing makes me more open minded about this world.
Studying abroad life in Japan was very interesting and fun. In this study abroad life I was able to experience many events that I had never experienced before. As I was able to experienced many things, I was able to develop my own growth. I think that it will become a big turning point for my life in the future. Of course at the beginning my Japanese was not really good and I was worried whether could I understand the conversation? or could I do well in the lesson?. But when I was living in here I naturally and gradually understand what happening around me. I think my Japanese skill gradually got better and I think it is really useful. This study obroad was not always about happiness or sadness and trouble things, but also makes me courage to take one step forward for the future. From all that I get during studying in japan I want to be able to help my friends in Indonesia to get to know and can learn more about japan country. I also want to be able to apply what I get and I learned in japan for this one year. in the future I hope to return to this state and dig deeper about the uniqueness of this country. And I want to be able to study in japan once more on another occasion.
