Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

I will participate in an internship program in Sydney from September. I’ve been studied English very hard since I want to work overseas someday, and I chose this program because I can improve my English-speaking ability and experience working using English. Australia was perfect for me because I can get working holidays visa. What is more, when I was in high school, I have been to Kyneton, a small village in Australia, and stayed in a farm with my kind host family. I was moved by the kindnesses the local people showed me and beautiful villages and towns with full of nature. This time, I am lucky to visit this beautiful country and hopefully get great experiences, so to be ready to go there, I am going to study English harder before I left Japan.

Experience while studying abroad

On the weekends, I go to events for LGBTQI+ which I'm really interested in.
In Australia, many people accept us and even same-sex marriage is allowed all over the Australia, so there are many events occurred in Sydney.
There was Pride Picnic on 10th November in Parramatta, north Sydney. Pride Picnic is the event for LGBT+ and Ally people. I saw many people came there, including LGBT+s, Ally, and even families.
In Japan, LGBT+ is not a common topic, and many Japanese don't know and understand about that. However, Australia is a diversity country and that's why many people are accepting this I guess.
I hope events like this will also be usual in Japan.

Results of study abroad, future goals

I worked as an internship at a travel agency during this study abroad.
What I learned from my boss and coworkers was very helpful in imagining what kind of work I want to do and where I would like to live in the future. In addition, I knew what my weakness was when I speak English, but at the same time, I got confident that my English got more accessible and fluent than before.
I built a goal of returning to Sydney in the future. However, I have learned that it is difficult to find a job without skills and experience, so firstly I would like to find a job that I can use English in Japan and gain experience.
