In my freshman year of college, I participated in a student life and learning experience sharing session which was sponsored by the Japanese department of Inner Mongolia university. Through the introduction of teachers and seniors senior, I learned that in the junior year at college, students with excellent academic performance can have the opportunity to study in Japan for one year. That was a pleasant surprise to me at that time. Since then, I have been looking forward to the one-year exchange life in Japan in my heart. After defining my own goals, I set clear requirements for my academic performance. I made a series of study plans for myself and was strict with myself. I deeply understand that opportunities are for those who are prepared. In the end, everything paid off and I succeeded in getting this opportunity.
There are several reasons why I want this opportunity so badly. First, the best way for people to learn a language is to go to the country where it is spoken and talk to the people who is living there. We can't deny that the influence of environment is huge. Especially for the person who is learning the local language. I think if you want to learn something, then , if you don't know its origin and the history of its development , you can't really learn it well. Therefore, it is essential for me who is learning Japanese to go to Japan-the birthplace and place of Japanese and where Japanese is used, and deeply feel the language environment with heart.
Secondly, I know very clearly that what I am weak in Japanese learning through my two years' study in university. That is my Japanese listening and Japanese speaking. Also, in my communication with foreign teacher, this shortcoming is obvious. Sometimes, when the foreign teacher seem to be speaking at a normal speed, for me, the speed of foreign teacher is too quick to understand or because my pronunciation is not standard leads to the situation that the foreign teachers can not understand my meaning. When communication broke down due to these reasons, I blamed myself deeply and desperately wanted to improve my oral and listening skills. Therefore, I hope to improve my listening and speaking skills and eventually improve my comprehensive ability of Japanese through the one-year exchange life in Japan. And I believe that during this period, I have not only improved my Japanese ability and level, but also my ability to communicate with others.
Third, in the second semester of my sophomore year, it was time to choose the direction of major, I chose Japanese literature as my future research direction. As a student of Japanese literature, the most important thing is literary reading. There is no doubt that in Japan I can has more access to reading resources than it does at home. Therefore, during the one-year exchange life in Japan, I hope to make full use of Japanese book resources and literature materials and fully study Japanese literature, so as to lay a solid foundation for my study after returning to China in my senior year.
Fourthly, in my life planning, I am more eager to go to Japan for postgraduate study than to study in China. And then after finishing my postgraduate study, I hope to find a job in Japan and integrate into Japanese society, because I am very optimistic about the future of Japan. Therefore, during the one-year exchange life in Japan, I hope I can have a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and society so that I can get closer to Japanese society and accumulate valuable experience for my future postgraduate study in Japan and work in Japan.
It has already been eight months since I came to Japan. I have learned a lot of things during this period. Not only study but also knowledge of life. Thank you for the great help from teachers and my friends at the same time, thank you for the good study environment and atmosphere that the school offered to us. This life is really fun and fulfilling. I will introduce my life for half a year from three aspects, including school life, dormitory life and travel experience.
As for the life of the school, in the first semester there are Japanese, the special Japanese language course and the Japanese situation, the class of the Japanese literature to the foreign student. The class can be freely chosen by your own Japanese language ability. In addition, there are foreign languages such as English, Korean and Chinese. At this semester not only the Japanese lessons at this semester but also there is a class of business administration which can study knowledge about management. Besides study, there are many activities in school. I made many friends in the process of participating. It participates in the group and becomes acquainted with many Japanese.
As for dormitory life, living alone in a college dormitory costs about 40,000 yen a month. The guard at the dormitory is very good. There is a kitchen in the dormitory. It is not a problem to cook and to save money. There is also a big life supermarket and convenience store about 5 minutes walking from the dormitory. Life function is very convenient because you can buy anything. It is true that the price is a little high for the life in Hyogo Prefecture, but there are a lot of shops where all the things is 100 yen. What’s more, there are some cheap things in the supermarket.
As for travel, Japan is convenient for transportation. Also have a lot of cheap traffic tickets. I went to Osaka, Kobe for the last six months. I went to the hot spring and looked at the scenery and made many friends. And experienced Japanese culture during travel.
I have only three months left in Japan. I want to learn many things over the remaining three months and have a more abundant experience.
I will write about the thing that I learned for the past year and the thought that I have been studying for the last year.
First of all, I explain it through the life of studying abroad for the last year. My original specialty is Japanese. Since I came to Japan, I entered a department of business administration to study at Kansai University of International Studies. After coming to Japan I use Japanese to interact with people around me. Therefore, language is only a tool, and the purpose of learning language is not only to study this language well and to translate well, but think that this tool is used well, and this tool is made a door to open a new world. After understanding this, I try not only to focus on the study of language but also to examine the materials by using words. In this way, while studying management, I study Japanese. Such double learning will strengthen confidence in future jobs.
And I will explain from the new impression to Japan through this year's studying abroad life. All the impressions to Japan before are obtained from the net, and the truth of the information is not understood. After I came to Japan, my eyes and ears made me clear my impression on Japan through my real experience. The teacher, the classmate, and the strangers are all friends in one meeting. The school teacher helped me when I was hard to buy a return ticket because of the corona.
Finally, explain the future goals. Through a year of study in Japan, I’m sure that entering the Graduate School in Japan and being a master of business administration become my goal. After returning to Japan this year, I will work hard for one year in my fourth year of college and complete the rest of my studies and prepare for the graduate school exam .
