Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

I became interested in studying abroad as I started learning Chinese as a second language at university. I found it interesting that the way we use Kanji, Chinese Character, in Japanese language is different from the Chinese language and I became more interested in learning the Chinese language. In addition, I aim to find a job in the aviation industry in the future. Therefore I felt that it was necessary to be able to speak Chinese as the Chinese native speaker population is high. I intend to learn Chinese in order to communicate with many people.
The purpose of studying abroad is to improve my Chinese language ability. I can hardly speak Chinese now and I realize my immaturity as I often need help from students around me. I hope I will be able to use Chinese and live daily life as an international student without help from others. In addition, I would like to work hard to pass the HSK exam.

Experience while studying abroad

I went to a day trip with my friend during the labor festival in China. For the first time, we took "Gaotie" (It's one of the fastest train in China)and learned about trains in Guangzhou. We saw a historically famous garden called "Qinghui Garden". We also ate one of the most famous Cantonese sweet and boiled fish which is famous for Cantonese cuisine. I was asked to share food from two women at the restaurant. It is said that it is a custom to enjoy the meal with people around them in China. In addition, if they want to become a friend, they share foods. In Japan, I don't often share a table with strangers and even if I share, I don't share food with strangers. It was a totally different culture and a fresh experience for me.

Results of study abroad, future goals

The goal of my studying abroad was to be fluent in Chinese and to have an international exchange.I got good results by becoming language partners with Chinese college students studying Japanese. Through this activity, I passed the HSK Ⅳ. They also passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test level N1. I also traveled with them to various places in China and learned Chinese history and culture in Chinese.

The most annoying thing about studying abroad was that I couldn't communicate the problem to the receptionist on my own when there was a problem in my dorm room. This problem was solved each day by talking to Chinese friends who were my language partners, or discussing how to communicate with friends in the same dorm. Through this experience I became able to speak Chinese well. And it was also a great opportunity to learn really useful Chinese for conversation. And I've made friends in many countries through the opportunity to study together.

This experience has taught me a lot of knowledge, analysis ability, expression ability, language skills and problem solving ability. And thanks to my friends, I was able to learn about the cultures and lifestyle habits of different countries. After studying abroad, I will study harder and try to become a flight attendant.
