Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

I was familier with English since an early age, partly because of my mother, who teaches English. After I had experiences of short-term study abroad when I was a junior high school student, I really wanted to study abroad longer in a foreign university. The decisive factor in joining the exchange program was that I had Chinese and Vietnamese friends at university. Leaving their home country and taking lectures in the same way as Japanese people, they were very respectable. I was inspired by them and wanted to challenge in studying outside of Japan.
The exchange program was fascinating to me because exchange students can take lectures just like ordinary students. I heard from the professor of University of Hyogo that studying business abroad could give me more opportunities to study different business cases than studying in Japan, and it would be an advantage to broaden my perspectives.

Experience while studying abroad

I have studied business administration in Japan, so I also took courses at a business school in Curtin University . It was particularly impressive that I went to a local hotel for fieldwork in the subject of Hospitality industry management and actually went to the managers to hear their management strategies. One of the hardest things about actually enrolling a university in Australian was that there was a lecture class and a workshop class for discussion and presentation in the same subject. In other words, I needed to feedback on the knowledge and gained in the lecture every week. In the group work, I always talked desperately, feeling the pressure to contribute to the team.

Thanks to community among Hyogo Cultural Exchange Center in Perth, I could be invited to many Japanese-Australia friendship events. A launch party was held at the Embassy as ANA launched a service between Tokyo and Perth last September. ANA employees and Japanese companies in Australia participated and it was a very exciting experience to touch a part of the international business occation. While studying abroad, I could notice that Perth were getting ready to welcome Japanese tourists.
The flight between Tokyo and Perth proved to be very influential in the economies of both countries, with many companies mainly involved in tourism.

Results of study abroad, future goals

I was happy that I could take lectures in English without any discomfort in the end. Business Courses have presentations, and I gained confidence by completing my personal presentation in English. In addition, there were many report tasks, so I was able to acquire academic writing skills. Thanks to that, I was able to write my graduation thesis in English. I want to continue improving my English skills.
My dream in the future is to work to support Japanese and foreigners residing abroad who can live more comfortably in foreign countries.
In addition, I like the feeling that connection with people is expanded by language acquisition, so I will study to be able to speak a new language in the future.
