Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

Hi my name is Permatasari Yunita Diah. I am an exchange student at Kansai University of International Studies. I came from Darma Persada University in Indonesia. It is my dream to study Japanese language in Japan. When I was a junior high school, I love animation, manga and Japanese songs, and thanks to that I liked Japanese language and Japanese culture. After graduating from junior high school, I entering high school with Japanese classes to learn more about Japan. In high school I studied various things about Japan and wanted to learn more about Japan, so I entered the Japanese department at Darma Persada University. I am very happy to study Japanese and I hope to study abroad someday in Japan. I studied Japanese hard at college, passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and now I am very glad to study at Kansai University of International Studies.
The reason of studying abroad in Japan is that I would like to study Japanese language, Japanese culture, Japanese life, Japanese history and way of Japanese people thinking etc. My Japanese conversation is still not fluent so I would like to study conversation in daily life with Japanese people. and I want to more interact with Japanese students, International students and local people. in culture I would like to see the Japanese traditional dance Yosakoi in Japan. I entered the Yosakoi Soran Club at the university. Yosakoi is not dancing alone, so it's fun to dance with everyone. This year my club won the Yosakoi festival in Jakarta. So I love Yosakoi more and I'd like to see Yosakoi Festival live in Japan. My purpose here is to apply what I have learned at university so far. And I think that I want to improve not only my Japanese ability but also Japanese knowledge. In the future I would like to be an interpreter. Or I would like to go to graduate school in Japan. I am still studying about Japanese language, so I will work hard! . For me it is a very good experience to study at Kansai University of International Studies.

Experience while studying abroad

I had various experiences in Japan. In the university festival I introduced about Indonesia, participated in the speech contest, and sold dumplings. And in the New Year, I went to New Year 's visit in Kyoto with all the international students. It was a bit nervous to wear kimono for the first time. But I am very glad that this experience because this is only possible in Japan. I went on a trip with Japanese students and international students in winter. We went to Izushi, Hyogo prefecture. I was experienced making a soba noodle for the first time over there. I made soba while receiving teacher's instruction. I started with soba powder and did it myself until I cut a soba. It was difficult, but I really enjoyed it. The most difficult thing is to cut a soba. It was very difficult not to be too thin and not too thick. But I ate the soba I made with everyone last time and it was delicious. After that, I went sightseeing while eating ice cream with everyone. It was a lot of fun to see snow. It was very exciting because there was no snow in Indonesia. I took a picture and bought a souvenir and it made a good memory. And, in April I went to Osaka to see the Yosakoi Festival. I saw it for the first time with my life and it was very impressive. In the hot weather everyone smiles and dances to the music is very cool. I saw everyone dance fun and make me happy. Japanese dance is beautiful. I like japanese dance more and more. and I still want to do various things in Japan. For example, there are things I want to do a lot, like going to rural areas, eating various foods, learning Japanese culture. I also want to learn about Japan. I am glad that I have experienced like this now.

Results of study abroad, future goals

Through my study abroad, I feel the most it is about my ability to speak Japanese. before I go to Japan I can't speak Japanese at all, so I am very glad that I can talk with my friends, teachers and other students with Japanese to convey my feelings. I am also studying not only grammar study in Japanese language classes at university but also knowledge of culture and Japanese life and talking practice. For example, to announce, interview and give a speech. My Japanese is not good yet, but I think that Japanese will be a little better than before coming to Japan. I enjoyed not only talking in Japanese but also knowledge, culture and experiences that I only enjoyed in Japan. I can speak dialects as well. For example, I used the Kansai dialect when talking to my friends. I am happy that I could taste the four seasons in Japan from last autumn to this summer. After all I think Japanese food, atmosphere and scenery are really wonderful. I gradually became fond of Japan. Autumn leaves in autumn, snow in winter, cherry blossoms in spring were seen, for me it became a very good memory.

My future goal is to graduate from college now and I want to enter graduate school in Indonesia. I would like to study international relations. I like to study languages, so I took a Chinese class here. And sometimes Korean friends taught Korean. Filipino friends sometimes talked in English. In here I not only did learn Japanese but also various languages. then I met various people during this study abroad. I met such Korean people, Chinese people, Filipino people and Taiwanese people, and I heard various stories about their countries. it's make me so happy and I wanted to go to that country. But I think that this experience is not enough. So I want to go to graduate school because I want to learn more about language, culture and knowledge. And, if there is a chance, I would like to come back to Japan and study abroad. I will do my best for my future! I came to Japan and was so really good. Thank you very much.
