My name is Jong woo Baek, and I'm currently majoring in filmmaking at Sangmyung University. In spite of my major, I'm also immersively interested in animation. As is well known for history already and even recently, the Japanese animation industry is continuously booming and getting an individual, unrivaled identity that is unprecedented over time. I am eager to be part of them. For these reasons, studying abroad in Japan is the best opportunity for me.
To begin with, since Japanese language skills are essential in order to promote production and precise conversation to get involved in the communication. I will learn daily conversations, idiomatic expressions, and aim to acquire N1 through studying in Japan. On top of that, I will enthusiastically study Japanese culture and customs. Courtesy, such as honorifics, is difficult to learn from my indigenous circumstances. I could learn those through local interactions. Last but not least, according to the industry research. I noticed that the reputation of the industry and the employment route could only be done locally.
Studying abroad is not only just an experience but also a stepping forward to my dream. I am pretty confident that I can make my own unique films real thanks to the above learning from Japan.
