Opportunity of the studying abroad, purpose

I’m majoring in law and politics and am interested in the foreign social situation. In the future, I would like to work for the ministry of foreign affairs or the United Nations.
These days, under the movement of globalization, English is regarded as being very essential because the number of the English speakers is increasing. Incidentally, I have an experience that I studied abroad. However, the program lasted only one month, so I could not improve my English skill well. By joining the medium-term overseas foreign language training this time, I can have much more chances to use English constantly and continuously. And, as a result, I wish to acquire high-level English skills. The course that I will attend this time is a mid-term overseas internship. In fact, this is the first time to join an internship, and there may be a lot of difficulties overcoming a lot of problems. Even if I am faced with such a situation, I will do my best to solve them by myself. This is also my goal of studying abroad.
I really hope to play a lively part in a global society and succeed as an international person, and thus I’d like to go abroad.

Experience while studying abroad

I have just finished my course and am working as an intern. While I was at a language school, I learned business manner and so on. By exchanging opinions with students from all over the world, I could get a lot of knowledge and skills to think about things from the grobal perspective. As for internship, this is the first time to work abroad, so I have been facing many difficulties. And I sometimes make mistakes. However, every time I have troubles, my supervisor always tells me not to hesitate to make mistakes. And also, he says to me "If you learn from your mistakes, it is going to be best". These advices inspires me and I try to do my best all the time. Furthemore, I think that I have to work more spontaneously. As for my life out of school and internship, I spend nice time thanks to my friends not only from Japan but also from all over the world. I did my homework with them after school, and we sometimes held BBQ on weekend and so on. I also can build good relationship with my host family and roommates. I really appriciate the wonderful opportunities to meet these amazing people.

Results of study abroad, future goals

Working abroad was more difficult than I expected, and I sometimes made mistakes. On the day I made a mistake, my supervisor told me the reason why I was out of control. It was a lack of communication. He told me that companies have to be organized not by individual work but by teamwork. Back to my overall life, I tended to make decisions by myself without asking someone to give me advices, and such behaviors sometimes leaded to bad situations. Through my internship, I could get not only knowledge about marketing but also such important things. And there were verious people whose nationalities were different like Australia, America, France and Japan in my office, so we needed to communicate each other in English.
Compared with Japanese people who regard respecting each other as virtue and like to use vague expression, it is necessary to state opinions straightly when we communicate in English. At the beginning, I was a little bit confused with such difference, but I gradually got used to doing it, and finally I could grow up enough to express my opinions spontaneously.
I would like to work abroad in the future. With the experience I gaind through this internship, I strongly want to continue to move forward.
